Considering a rewarding career in caregiving? Maybe you already have some experience in the caregiving field but wish to expand your expertise, adopt new skills, or get a specific certificate? Applying for a position at Golden Heart Ohio may be just what you need for your career path to move in a new, exciting direction. Regardless of your education or previous experience in caring for seniors, our locally owned and operated Dayton and Mason offices both offer an extensive training program for all our senior caregivers, which is provided by our Executive Director.
At Golden Heart Ohio, we would not be one of the most renowned providers of senior care in the Midwest without the passion, hard work, and sheer commitment of our senior caregivers. It is a two-way relationship as we have always been more than happy to invest the time and resources to helping our team members achieve excellence and become the best professionals this industry has to offer. After being carefully selected and screened, our senior caregivers are expected to complete our special training program. The materials and resources used in this training are provided by a prestigious, nationally renowned company called Medifecta.
Marion Karpinski, R.N. – a recognized expert in caregiver training – founded Healing Arts Communications way back in 1995, which later became Medifecta Healthcare Training. Marion’s desire to change things came in response to witnessing the struggles of families and in-home care providers as they were performing hospital-grade duties for seniors at home with very little or no training. She recognized a pressing need for family and professional education resources for caregivers in communities across Dayton, Beavercreek, Kettering, and Mason, OH.
As one of the most prolific authors at the forefront of the caregiving industry, Marion Karpinski, R.N. has more than 35 years of nursing experience, much of which took place in a hospital or skilled senior care settings.
At Golden Heart, all senior caregivers who will work in the greater Dayton and Mason areas are exclusively trained using the Medifecta system. Training is combined with classroom discussions and guidance led by the Golden Heart Training Director.
Each caregiver is tested on every component of the home aide training and additional modules of instruction including “Hospice Support Care,” “Private Duty in a Care Facility Setting,” and “Helping Seniors Maintain Independence.” We also pay special attention to techniques and tools for developing compassionate, empathic caregivers who are sensitive to the needs of our clients.
